What is the criteria for entering an eternal life at peace with God?

If you have said because I have never murdered anyone and that I am a good person who helps those in need, then please read on.

Many people that we speak with tell us that they are religious and attend church so by virtue of their religion they feel right with God.

Have you ever hated someone?

Told even the smallest lie?

The truth is we have all fallen short of the standard God has set for us and have all sinned. see Romans 3:23

We have all heard of the Ten Commandments that were given to Moses on the mountain, not only are they Gods standard to which He has called us to live by but they also highlight what sin actually is. see Romans 3:20

It would be awesome if we could keep from breaking any one of Gods commandments but the truth is we only have to break just one and we have broken them all! see James 2:10

Even if we merely think of sinning then God tells that we have sinned. see Matthew 5:28 1John 3:15

We can be so cleverly deceived by the lie that has us think, if we get it together and just go to church on Sundays as well as doing good things for others that we will be ok with God. However we are unable make up for our sins, no matter what good things we do. see Ephesians 2:9

In the new testament it is explained that by the virtue of the sin of just one man, (Adam) and our short coming at not being able to keep or meet the Laws of God's commandments, that the sin in our life leads to death but through Jesus we are declared right before God. see Romans 5:18-21

It is Jesus that makes us right with God and nothing else. see John 1:29

How do you become right with God, if doing good is not good enough?

The first step is to ADMIT that you are a sinner, any one who says they are sinless would be calling God a liar. 1John 1:8-10

BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross for you and that by His death and with the shedding of His blood, that this was the atoning sacrifice needed to wipe your slate clean of sin that makes you right with God. John 3:16

CONFESS in prayer to God through Faith in Him and believe that you are saved. Romans 10:8-10

We are told if we acknowledge Jesus here and now, then He becomes the mediator between ourselves and God. His promise is to acknowledge us before our Father in heaven. see Matthew 10:32

We could not conclude this page without extending you the opportunity to make things right with God. If we trust Him then He is just to forgive us.

We would like to offer you the opportunity to repent and pray the sinners prayer of confession.

This prayer puts our Faith into action which permits Jesus to break the barrier of sin that was once over us. The same sin that stopped our fellowship with God and prevented us from spending an eternity with Him.

Therefore if we confess our sins, he is faithfull and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. see 1John 1:9

God Loves you and has a plan for you. see Jerimiah 29:11

His word tells us that there is more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety nine righteous people who do not need to repent. see Luke 15:7

PRAY THIS PRAYER

Dear Jesus, please forgive me for I am a sinner.

I confess that I have sinned against God.

And I have done things that I should not have done.

Jesus I believe you died on the cross and that your blood was shed for me.

Jesus I believe your sacrifice has paid the price for my sinfulness.

I ask that you come into my heart, wash me clean, renew me.

I ask that you give me a new start.

Jesus I ask that you guide me and protect me, please reveal your plan for me as I commit to follow you.

I thank you for saving me and making me right with God our Father.
